Gateway National Marina is located at 34 Bay Avenue in Highlands, New Jersey, directly on Sandy Hook Bay. Our location provides convenient access to the Shrewsbury and Navesink Rivers, Raritan Bay, New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. There are no bridges between the marina and open water, making it easy to get your boating day underway.

Gateway National Marina is located across from Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area and approximately five minutes from Sandy Hook, with no bridges and unrestricted deep-water access.
Does Gateway National Marina offer seasonal boat slips?
Yes. Gateway has 31 wet slips with floating docks, electric service and fresh water. The slips can accommodate powerboats up to 40 feet.
Does Gateway offer dry rack storage?
Yes. Gateway National Marina offers dry storage options including dry stacks and rack systems. Depending on boat style, dry-stack storage can accommodate boats from approximately 16 to 40 feet. The marina also has more than 800 feet of dock space available for dry-rack customers.
Does Gateway Marina offer winter boat storage?
Yes. Gateway National Marina offers winter storage and winter service. Because availability may be limited, contacting the marina early is recommended.

Yes. Gateway specializes in Yamaha outboard repowers. One particularly nice benefit is that repower deliveries include an in-water sea trial, giving you an opportunity to become comfortable with the new motor and its operation before heading out on your own.

Yes. Gateway National Marina maintains a large inventory of Yamaha parts and also stocks a wide selection of Yamaha outboard motors. Motors that are not currently in inventory may be obtainable on an expedited basis.

How much does dry rack storage cost?
In 2025-2026, Gateway National Marina charges $175 per foot, LOA. Your boat can be launched from dry storage within an hour.
Do you offer transient slips?
Yes. Gateway National Marina offers transient slips.
Can I work on my own boat at the marina?
You can work on your own boat, however it has to be in a service rack. Outside vendors with proper insurance can also contact the office and become a Marina Partner.
Does Gateway National Marina sell fuel?
No. However, we have neighboring fuel docks we can recommend.
Is there parking for marina customers?
Yes. Gateway National Marina offers both on- and off-street parking for our customers.

Does Gateway National Marina accept trade-ins or help sell boats?
Yes. Gateway staff can evaluate trade-ins and assist customers who want to upgrade, trade, or sell their current boat. The marina also advertises brokerage and pre-owned boat sales.
