Gateway Expands Ship Store

You have probably noticed the many changes and upgrades at the marina since the new ownership took over in 2024. The initial task list was daunting, but progress has been steady. The first project was a major cleanup of the facility followed by the installation of two new racks for larger boats, more equipment, and a new fish cleaning station. In addition, we’ve expanded our team to improve customer service and keep things running smoothly. We've also added this blog to keep you up to date on future improvements.

We are excited to share that more improvement is on the way!

The Gateway Ship Store is expanding to become a one-stop shop. Formerly, Highlands boaters were served by a small West Marine satellite store and the Marine Mart, a go-to resource for area boaters for generations. Since this spring, both have closed their doors permanently. We are responding to our customers’ needs by expanding our store to include a wider inventory of products, in addition to our regular stock of Yamaha parts and service products. We are also proud to be an authorized reseller of Seakeeper Ride underwater stabilization products.

The expansion includes the finest boat cleaning products, PFD’s, boat hardware, dock lines, bumpers, marine batteries, filters, lubricants, and a growing selection of fishing lures and terminal tackle curated specifically for local waters. If you need something we do not have in stock, we can typically have any marine items delivered in one or two days.

Stop by the store and speak with Lynn or Dennis for help with purchases or orders of Yamaha parts, Seakeeper Ride products, marina services, or just to ask some questions about boat maintenance and enjoy our waterfront deck.
